Busisiwe 'Busi' Pillay was a nurse and caregiver who served in Johannesburg’s Charlotte Maxeke Hospital for over 30 years. Her colleagues remember her for her soothing voice and the way she comforted both patients and families. She was also an avid knitter and made blankets for hospice centres well into her retirement. Her home was always open — tea, stories, and healing always available.
